Tellurian’s group homes provide structured residential support for adults living with mental health conditions who need daily assistance before independent living.
Residents live in small, home-like settings with around-the-clock staff, medication and symptom monitoring, mental health support, and skill-building. It’s designed for Dane County adults with a primary mental health diagnosis who need help with daily routines, medication, structure, and behavioral health support.
Length of stay is individualized and based on your progress and readiness with the goal of improving stability, daily functioning, and independent-living skills.
Group home care isn’t the right fit if you need detox, medical stabilization, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, or residential addiction treatment — we can connect you to the right program.

Getting started begins with a Dane County application (mhresidentialservices@danecounty.gov) or a referral, followed by a clinical assessment to confirm whether group home care is the right level of support.
Residents receive daily structure and supervision, medication support, symptom monitoring, behavioral health services, peer support, case management, trauma-informed care, and daily-living skills — cooking, routines, and shared responsibilities.
We support adults living with:
Tellurian’s group homes are licensed Class A Community-Based Residential Facilities that is more structured than independent living, less intensive than hospitalization.
As residents progress, the team coordinates next steps. Some paths forward include independent or transitional housing, supportive housing, outpatient mental health care, or continued case management.
If you or someone you love needs a safe, structured place to stabilize and rebuild daily routines, our group homes can help.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) pairs FDA-approved medications like Suboxone®, Sublocade, Vivitrol, and Brixadi with therapy, relapse prevention, and ongoing clinical support to reduce cravings and lower the risk of return to use.
MAT works best as part of a plan, not on its own. At Tellurian it's integrated with residential, outpatient, and IOP counseling, individual therapy, group support, and recovery planning. We treat opioid use including heroin, fentanyl, and prescription opioids.
You don't have to step away from your life to get real help. Whether it's weekly therapy or a more structured schedule, we'll build a plan that fits and start with a confidential assessment.
