Tellurian is proud to offer a sober living home for men who struggle with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. After successfully opening a sober living home for women in early 2018, Tellurian has received an overwhelming demand to offer this same resource for men.
The house is named in memory of Jeremy Andrew Richard Likwarz, who courageously battled mental illness for most of his life. With his love of sports came many injuries, which led to pain medication prescriptions and, ultimately, addiction. Jeremy fought for sustained recovery with everything he had, but his disease continued to recur and the resources available to him were not enough. After his passing, Jeremy's mother, Patti Likwarz, started a movement in her son’s memory called Speak Up for Jeremy. Patti has worked tirelessly to help families who have lost loved ones, as well as those currently struggling with addiction and behavioral health concerns, share their stories, raise awareness, affect change, and end substance use and mental health stigma.
Tellurian has partnered with Speak Up for Jeremy to provide sober transitional living for men like Jeremy. Modeled after Tellurian’s first sober living home, Jeremy’s Place will provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment, primarily for men transitioning out of residential treatment. This vision is supported by a comprehensive business plan, capital campaign, staffing model, oversight, and programming structure.
