The Tellurian Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program is specifically designed for patients who have a supportive living environment but require more intensive treatment than traditional outpatient treatment programs offer. The IOP provides patients with an opportunity to practice recovery skills within the community, utilizing peer and staff support to maintain sobriety. Morning and evening group sessions are available to accommodate our patients' work or home schedules. Both groups are conducted four hours per day, four days per week. Group size is limited to eight participants per session, and group and individual counseling sessions are facilitated by state certified, dually licensed, Masters-degreed therapists specializing in substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. In addition to the daily group sessions, IOP patients also receive one hour per week of one-on-one individual therapy. Additional family counseling is also available and recommended. Family sessions help loved ones understand the nature of addiction and mental illness. Participants learn essential recovery tools that can enhance family functioning while supporting the patient's continued sobriety and recovery.

The Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program is licensed under DHS 75.12 as a CSAS Day Treatment Service. The IOP is also an approved provider for the Dane County intoxicated driver program and assists participants in the successful completion of recommended or court-ordered driver safety plans.
